Our Services
More than 90% of MC students participate in CDI’s free services, which include intensive tutoring, counseling on issues ranging from domestic violence to incarcerated parents, legal and medical information. Our college and career services rival those of a private school with SAT prep, advice on college selection and assistance with college and financial aid applications, as well as paid internships that give students income and valuable job training and experience.
Students who receive CDI’s integrated academic and social services have higher attendance rates, earn more high school credits and achieve higher Regents passing rates than students who do not take part in our services. Students are also more engaged in their own education and their futures. In 2011, more than 75% of MC-CDI’s graduates were accepted to college and nearly 200 students participated in paid internships that integrated work experience with employment readiness training.
We support our students throughout their time at MC and beyond, by offering:
- Tutoring services that help students overcome academic obstacles that delay graduation
- College and career services that provide information and resources to students
- Support services that provide legal and housing assistance and case management
- Post graduation services that allow us to keep supporting students even after graduation
- The Green Track Program that offers students academic and work experience in sustainability
